1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using VetAid ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Nature of the Service
VetAid is an AI-powered claims analysis tool that helps veterans understand their VA disability claims. The Service:
- Analyzes uploaded documents (C&P exams, decision letters, medical records, DD-214s)
- Identifies potential errors, contradictions, and missed opportunities in VA decisions
- Generates template documents (21-4138 statements, nexus letter templates, buddy statement frameworks)
- Provides statistical analysis from Board of Veterans Appeals decisions
3. Not Legal or Medical Advice
All AI-generated analysis, documents, and recommendations are templates and informational summaries only. They do not constitute legal advice, medical advice, or a guarantee of any outcome.
You should:
- Have all generated documents reviewed by a qualified professional before filing
- Not rely solely on VetAid's analysis for claim decisions
- Consult with an accredited VSO representative or VA-accredited attorney for legal guidance
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your service and conditions
- Not upload documents belonging to other veterans without their explicit consent
- Not use the Service for fraudulent claims
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or attack the Service
- Keep your access credentials and share links secure
Document Upload Risk. By uploading documents to VetAid, you accept full responsibility for any information you choose to share. Only upload documents you are comfortable sharing. Do not upload documents containing information you are not authorized to disclose.
5. Shared Portal Access
When you share case access with an attorney or VSO through the portal:
- You are responsible for managing who has access to your case
- You can revoke access at any time by deactivating the share link
- All portal activity is logged for security
- Recipients must agree to confidentiality obligations before accessing your data
6. Limitation of Liability
VetAid is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
- Inaccuracies in AI-generated analysis or documents
- Claim outcomes resulting from use of the Service
- Loss of data due to technical failures
- Unauthorized access resulting from user negligence
- Any damages arising from your decision to upload sensitive personal or medical information
No system is 100% secure. VetAid implements encryption, PII redaction, and industry-standard security practices. However, we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet or stored electronically. By using the Service, you acknowledge this risk and agree that VetAid is not liable for unauthorized access that occurs despite reasonable security measures.
In no event shall VetAid's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.
7. Data Deletion
You have the right to delete all your data at any time using the "Delete My Data" feature. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. See our Privacy Policy for details.
8. Prohibited Uses
You may not use VetAid to:
- File fraudulent VA claims
- Impersonate another veteran
- Scrape or harvest data from the Service
- Redistribute AI-generated analysis commercially
- Circumvent security measures including rate limits and PIN protections
9. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in the state of Nevada.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the Service.
