Under 38 CFR 14.629, only a VA-accredited attorney, claims agent, or Veterans Service Organization representative may represent a veteran on a VA claim, and under 38 U.S.C. 5904 no one may charge a fee for preparing an initial claim.

What the court has not decided: A bankruptcy filing is not a finding that anyone did anything wrong, and it is not a ruling on the class action's allegations. It pauses the case; it does not decide it.
The company denies wrongdoing. Trajector described the filing as "a strategic step to strengthen our financial position" and said it would "continue operating throughout the process."

What this means for you
- A strong rating is not a legal clearance. Trajector holds an A+ from the BBB and 4.4 out of 5 on Trustpilot while in Chapter 11 and facing a class action. Review platforms and the court record measure different things.
- If you paid Trajector, file a proof of claim before October 1, 2026. That is the general claims bar date and it is a hard deadline — a claim filed late can be lost entirely. - Do not wait to be contacted. Class counsel have said Trajector did not produce a complete list of the veterans it billed, so there is no guarantee a notice reaches you before the deadline.
- Bankruptcy cases have claim deadlines, called bar dates. One had not been publicly reported as set when this page was last verified. If you paid Trajector, this is the thing to watch — missing a bar date can extinguish a claim.
- If Trajector is currently billing you, the automatic stay generally works in the other direction too: it restricts what creditors can do, but the company continuing to collect from you is a question for a bankruptcy attorney, not something to assume either way.
- Trajector says it is continuing to operate during the bankruptcy.
